Sean Connery - Connery To Reveal Memoir On His Birthday


SIR SEAN CONNERY will mark his 78th birthday by unveiling his autobiography to the world at the Edinburgh Book Festival in his native Scotland this August (08).

The veteran actor, a passionate nationalist, has been working on his memoir Being a Scot with his filmmaker pal Murray Grigor for the past few months.

And the former James Bond star will reveal his tome at the famed literary event this summer, when he discusses the book at the festival on 25 August (08).

Former Music Mogul Gets 25 Years

Lou Pearlman, known by some as the father of boy bands, was sentenced yesterday (5/21) to 25 years in prison for one of the largest investment frauds in Florida history, according to published reports.Pearlman, who created and promoted 'NSync and the Backstreet Boys, reportedly has admitted stealing more than $300 million from banks and investors. The total of his fraud could be $500 million or more based on claims filed in bankruptcy court.Pearlman's 25 year sentence is the maximum for his crimes. However, U.S. District Judge G. Kendall Sharp said for each $1 million the former music mogul returns to victims, he'll take one month off the sentence.
